In 2005 the outdoors football field had gone through restoration: the old synthetic surface has been replaced with the new modern synthetic turf of German production(Polytan). The turf for the football field was a gift to Daugavpils from Latvian Football Federation. The replacement of the artificial football field surface became the first step in implementation of the project on construction of Multifunctional Sports Center.
Total area of the football field: 8 000 m2
At present the outdoors football field serves as a training base for Daugavpils Youth Sport school football players.
